I am learning to sound out three letter words. Attempt new words and think what makes sense?

In Reading we have been learning lots of things to help 

us to work out new letter sounds and words.

"I liked this book" Gordon said.

I am learning to write simple sentences including detail

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like writing our ideas in a sentence and writing some sounds in words.

"I can spell hard words" Gordon said.

Rangoli Pattern

We have been learning about different celebrations this term.  This is my Indian Rangoli Pattern.  We were learning to make our pattern look symmetrical.

" I was good at colouring inside the chalk lines and making my flower look symmetrical."

Subtracting Tens

We have been learning to subtract groups of tens.

"It is tricky for me to subtract groups of ten without using the tens rods."

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like letters, basic words and also remembering to do finger spaces between words. 

"I like writing words" Gordon said.

I am learning the attributes of numbers to 10

In Maths we have been looking for numbers in every day situations.  We have been making sets and coming up with different ways to write numbers.

"Here is the number 5.  I am in Room 5 and I am 5 years old."
